At Western Progress, our Gear Rule Book is more than a list of requirements, it represents our commitment to realism, professionalism, and meaningful growth within the Western community.
We believe presentation matters in the Western Community just as much as the show ring.
Every rider and horse combination reflects not only individual effort, but the identity of Western Progress as a whole. Our standards have been thoughtfully developed to balance authenticity with creativity, allowing members to express themselves while maintaining discipline integrity and competitive fairness.

Beyond competitions, our standards support immersive and realistic roleplay. We strive to create an environment where Western disciplines are treated with the same structure, preparation, and respect seen in real world equestrian sport. From accurate tack choices to discipline specific attire. We encourage members to engage in Western riding as it would be approached outside the game, with knowledge, intention, and pride.
Western Progress also exists to open the community to the depth of Western disciplines. We showcase what true Western standards can look like: organised, polished, and performance driven. Barrel Racing, Western Pleasure, and other Western events are not simply casual alternatives, they are technical, demanding, and highly competitive sports that require discipline, strategy, and skill.
We aim to demonstrate that Western riding can be just as structured, creative, and competitive as the traditional showing scenes. Through clear expectations and strong presentation, we elevate Western competition while still allowing individuality and personality to shine through.
Our standards are not about restriction, they are about refinement. They exist to raise the bar, build confidence, and create a space where riders take pride in how they present themselves, their horses, and these sports.
At Western Progress, realism meets creativity, and Western excellence speaks for itself.
Rules are updated as new Star Stable items are released. All updates are announced and published on this page.
